Sunshine Coast Food Trail
Day 1
Take a leisurely drive through the scenic hinterland of the Sunshine Coast and enjoy some of the region's well-known fresh produce.Visit the Australian Nougat Company, where you can see traditional French nougat being hand made.
Check out the famous Eumundi Markets, open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It has hundreds of stalls that sell everything from jams and handmade chocolates to accessories and paintings.
Make a stop at the world's largest ginger factory and sample all sorts of delicious ginger goodies including ginger jams, ginger cocktails and ginger ice cream.
Day 2
Head to Kenilworth, where you'll find a number of delightful farms. Wander through Coolabine Farmstead and try its award winning hand crafted goat cheese. Visit Eumundi Noosa Milk, a family owned dairy farm at Kenilworth Road.
A little further inland is Kenilworth Organic Olives, where you’ll find organic extra virgin olive oil.
Spend the night at a cosy bed & breakfast lodge in the mountains.
Day 3
Visit some of the region's wineries. Enjoy award-winning wine at the 25-acre Eumundi Vineyard. Or relax by the waterfront at Barambah Ridge Wine Bar with a glass of wine and enjoy a glorious meal.
Drive up north to Connoisseur Handmade Chocolates and try delicious handmade chocolates made with home-grown macadamia nuts.
If you're visiting between July and September, don't forget to include a visit to the Cootharaba Strawberries farm.
Further inland, you'll find Pomona Orchards, which has peaches and nectarines growing from September to November, and lychees from mid January to late February.
