Palm Cove & Port Douglas Romance

Day 1

Enjoy a relaxing picnic in the lush parklands at Cairns Esplanade and take a leisurely dip in the large man-made saltwater lagoon.

Take a scenic 20-minute drive north of Cairns to Palm Cove, an idyllic seaside village. Many of the resorts boast spectacular ocean views and world-class spas and Palm Cove has fast become known as a spa haven.

This self-contained village boasts award-winning restaurants, art galleries, horse- riding trails, golf courses and glorious beaches. Indulge in spa treatments and massages and end the day with a romantic dinner.

Day 2

A 40-minute drive north of Palm Cove is the picturesque resort town of Port Douglas. The road leading to Port Douglas hugs the coastline and is a particularly scenic drive.

Enjoy 'breakfast with the birds' at Rainforest Habitat, a delightful wildlife sanctuary. Then soak up the sun by hiring a bicycle to ride along the stunning Four Mile Beach.

Check out the chic boutiques, cosmopolitan cafes and esteemed restaurants along Macrossan Street, Port Douglas' trendy strip. Be sure not to miss the local village-style markets held every Sunday morning overlooking the Port Douglas inlet.
