Ironman Cairns is coming to Cairns & Great Barrier Reef in June 2012

Ironman Cairns (previously known as Challenge Cairns) is set in one of the world’s most iconic tropical locations, Cairns Airport Ironman Cairns will take place on Sunday, 3rd June 2012.

The vibrant city of Cairns is just a short 2 hours fight from Brisbane. It is flanked by two world heritage attractions – the Great Barrier Reef and Tropical Rainforests – at its doorsteps.

Ironman Cairns will feature a course memorable for the 3.8km swim in warm waters of North Queensland, the 180km bike leg that travels ups arguably the most scenic coastal roads in Australia towards Port Douglas and a 42.2km run that includes the Cairns boardwalk before finishing in the heart of the city of Cairns.

Once the racing is done, spoil yourself with all that Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef have to offer. With more than 600 tours departing daily, your Cairns holiday will be naturally adventurous.
